Radeon VIVO on VIA MVP3 system

Hello, running Win 98se on this older box.
Installed the VIVO. No luck with any recent driver.

Somebody pointed to me the Catalyst 4.10. Unfortunately,
will not install,receive message about
"unable to find components"

Found Catalyst 4.11 on the 'net.
Installed the 4in1 version 4.35 first,
then driver. Smartgart reports agp 1.0.

Install the 4in1 again, reboot now agp 2.0 is
indicated. What's that all about?
I though the 4in1 should be first.

Remaining problem is that the
"agp texture acceleration" button is
greyed out in dxdiag.

I tried to do as clean uninstall/reinstall as I
possibly can, but wondering if I'm missing
something ??

I've got some suspicion about the 4in1. It's a
horrible driver set. Sometimes it doesn't
work and it doesn't tell you.

I managed to get the VIVO working with the Cat 6.2 drivers and MMC 9.08.

Dunno if that helps.

Did you get 6.2 working in Windows 98SE ?

The strange thing is, after uninstalling the drivers,
uninstalling and reinstalling 4in1 and enabling the
Standard VGA driver at the next boot,
using dxdiag shows the texture acceleration to be
"enabled" .

As soon as I reinstall the ATI catalsyt, it is disabled
again.

I tried 6.2 in 98se, but it was blowing up at restart
in the SMART check routine (ati2s9ag?)
