"My Computer" behaving weird

hey. i don' t know what has happened to My Computer. Whenever I open it
i get a searchlight and it stalls for sometime (around 90 seconds)
before it finds the items and then my viewing options are messed up
(like arrange in groups etc.) i have tried rebooting, and system
restore to a previous time. i have also virus and adaware scanned. this
just started happening all of a sudden and i cannot think of what
happened. any suggestions?

Try this:
Go to START - RUN and type in MSCONFIG, then okay.
Go to the Services Tab and scroll down to "Windows Image Acquisition" and
uncheck it.
Apply the change and Okay a reboot.

If that fixes your problem, then
Right-Click on your MY COMPUTER and choose MANAGE.
Choose SERVICES under SERVICES & APPLICATIONS
Find WINDOWS IMAGE AQUISITION and disable it.

This is caused by a problem with scanner software.
You may have to work with your scanner manufacturer to resolve the issues,
but you might find that now the computer works just fine.
