QuickTime

I downloaded QuickTime and it installed itself in the Startup tray. I can
uncheck it in MSConfig but then I get a message every time the computer
restarts that there is something amiss there.

Can I delete the regedit entry for the program, and will it still run if one
day I need it?

Thanks

You appear to be getting the message Windows issues when you change the
startup configuration. Look for a do not show again check box in lower
right. If you check the box, you will not get the message again unless you
make another change in configuration.

I think so, but I am not sure.

Open your QuickTime, go to Preferences, Browser Plug-in and uncheck
"QuickTime system tray icon.
Also go to Update Check tab and remove "Check for Updates Automatically".
