Quick time icon

Hi,
I noticed an icon balloon in the lower right hand corner by the clock for
Quick Time.
I went to that website and may have started a download but never did actually
complete the download. I cancelled, or stopped it.
My question is: how can I get rid of that balloon?
When I try and delete it in Windows Explorer it says the file qttask cannot
be deleted.

Never delete folders/files unless absolutely necessary after Uninstalling
from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

Run msconfig, and remove QTTask (and IpodService if you don't have an
iPod) from the startup group. It may be listed there several times. It
may also return once or twice before you can finally get rid of it.
