Quick Scrolling

Arch At Home

In Word 2003 I was able to hold down the Shift key and click the Scroll Bar
to select the general location in the document where I to be. I am unable to
do this in 2007 and must click repeatedly on the scroll bar or arrow to reach
the location I want. Is it possible to get the previous in 2007?

No. You can drag the scrollbox down, however, and a screentip will tell you
where you are in the document--release the mouse button to stop at the page
indicated. It's not the same, but it's what we've got, and it is better than
having to click repeatedly. I've no idea why Shift+click no longer works.

Hi Herb,

If you right click on the scroll bar in Word 2007 in a location somewhat relative to where you would end up in Word 2003 with
Shift+Click and select 'Scroll Here' in Word 2007 it should give you a somewhat similar result to what Word 2003 did, although the
page numbers on the status bar don't seem to always 'catch up' to be correct :)
