Quick Launch

Quick Launch icons will not show after boot up. Once I
right click on Task Bar and go to properties and check
the Quick Launch, apply, icons then appear on Task Bar,
but once I go to shut down and/or reboot the Quick Launch
icons dissappear and I find that the Quick Launch choice
in Task Bar properties is unchecked. What's wrong? How do
I make the choice of showing Quick Launch icons stick
after shutting down and rebooting?
