Quick animation Q

Hi all - PPT 2002, Win ME

I have a project that I need to have three different animations going on at
the same time. One will be a ghostship object entering the drawing from off
sight right via a motion path. Another will be a series of fog/mist wispy's
entering from the lower left-hand side traveling very, very slowly across
the background toward the upper right hand side and to the right, as in a
spreading simulation as the object travels across the drawing. The last,
will be a text box with text that will crawl from off the bottom up and off
the top.

It's for a toothpaste commercial. The theme is "Wonder where the yellow
went?"

Nooooo...heh....I'm just kidding on that part. That would be waayyy too
silly a thing to do. But, my question is, given all the different
animations, and directions, is this something I can do in 2002 on a
collective basis? I just want to know in advance so that I have a clear
view of what I can and can't do in 2002. I have worked so long in just
2000, and I am not that up yet on 2002 and all the new goodies and how they
can/can't work together. I am I've created the ocean storm for the
background, the ghostship and mist/fog objects in CDGS11 and PhotoPaint, and
want to bring them into PPT to create the slide show. This is one of the
projects I am working on for the PowerPoint Live 2004, and my first real
creations with CDGS11. I have tried this in RAVE, and with Andrew Hurt's
very kind help, I now have the ship sailing into the ocean at this point.
I've been testing a bit with simple, tee tiny objects in PPT, just to try to
get a feel of the timing and some of the things are not working as they
need. Thus my question.

I know that I am not that experienced with this type of work with PPT, so it
is obviously a good deal my lack of getting things set up right. But, before
I put in the long hours and work that will be required to do this, I just
wanted to be sure that the program is capable of doing this. Not that it
would stop me....but, at least I would know I was gonna have to really get
creative to make it work. ;-))

I would truly appreciate any suggestions, input, or references.

Hi Jan,

if I understand your project right, I'd say there's nothing in it which
coudn't be done in PPT 2002. Just play around with the different animations
and the timing. For an overview of all those new animations you might want
to have a look at my sample file, which Echo posted on her website:
http://www.echosvoice.com/animationfeatures.htm (you'll find the link in the
PPT2002/XP vs. PPT 2000 section).

Kind regards,
Ute

Thank you very much for the information and the link. I have your sample
downloaded and I'm now gonna have play with it. I truly appreciate your time
and help. ;-)

Jan :)
