Quick Access Bar in new PPT- size

I find the new Office interface, to put it mildly, "horrific". But I discovered that I
can put commands on the "quick access" bar. But the quick access bar does not grow to
accomodate all the commands I want to put on it; after 20 commands, it gives me one of
those useless "dropdown" buttons instead of expanding. How do I get this bar to expand as
needed to hold all the commands I need to put on it?

In the past, I could customize powerpoint so that I never had to drop down a menu for 90%
of my work. In the new powerpoint, I have to keep switching tabs to find the important
commands I need. And a "quick access" bar that doesn't show me every single command I put
on it belies the name "quick access". How can I fix this?
