1. Why does the display of the images in the headers an footers seem to
"fade" when i am not "viewing" headers an footers? Is there a way to make it
not do that?

2. Is there a way to temporarily not print headers an footers?

3. What is the best way to set up company stationary with a color logo?

Thanks

No, there is no way to make it not do that. Word is a program to print
things on paper and the idea behind the faded headers/footers is to
distinguish the places people are typing from those that are background. If
you convert your documents to .pdf files (the equivalent of printing) the
headersl/footers will show up in the same intensity as the document body.

2. Is there a way to temporarily not print headers an footers?

No, although if your header/footer is a drawing object such as a picture or
a text box, you can set your printing options to not print them. This will
allow text to flow into those spaces, though, unless it is kept out in some
other way.
3. What is the best way to set up company stationary with a color logo?

Probably preprinted letterhead unless you have a very good printer. With a
very good printer, by putting your logo in the first-page header or footer.

Hope this helps,
