Using FP, trying to create a form with "upload picture"
option, where I am trying to let the user upload a picture
from their local HDD to my server.

I want a button that says "browse", user browses to a
picture and then once the form is submitted, the picture
is transfered to the server and text posted into an Access
database.

How do I create such a link?

You will need to use a ASP File Upload component, check with your host to
see if they have one already installed for your use or are willing to
install one for your account.

FrontPage 2003 has a File Upload component that can be used.

Kevin,

Is there a link or something to show me how it works?

I basically want a form to be submitted with a picture,
the picture being the same name as a field value in my
database for the img component will load the picture
against the text.

Is there a link or something to show me how it works?

Well, if I was going to use the File Upload component I'd read the FrontPage
help about it. I haven't used it.

Stefan,

Excellent link.

However...

a. this is a FP2002 link - I currently run FP2000. I want
to upgrade so that I can do this fileupload stuff - which
should I buy FP2002 or FP2003?

b. do I need to tell my ISP anything regarding file
uploads, or does FP just do it all itself, and once
uploaded to an NT server with FP extensions it will work?

c. anything I need to know other than the above?

Thanks

You will need to use a ASP File Upload component,
check
with your host to
see if they have one already installed for your
use or
are willing to
install one for your account.

Using FP, trying to create a form with "upload picture"
option, where I am trying to let the user upload
a
picture
from their local HDD to my server.

I want a button that says "browse", user browses to a
picture and then once the form is submitted, the picture
is transfered to the server and text posted into
an
Access
database.

How do I create such a link?
