Running XP/SP2. When going to close out a program or in IE, change to a
different site, sometime, not always, the program will minimize and maximize
it’s self. It moves real fast then goes back to normal. We have run ALL kinds
of Spy ware software, Norton’s, did a defrag, etc. on this machine and it is
still doing this. What am I missing?? Any ideas?? ALso, it is taking anywhere
from 30 - 45 seconds for programs to open up. Be it Word, IE, etc. I can't
find a reason for any of this.

It's a spyware problem; some bugs are very difficult to detect and get rid
of and some antispyware programs install their own spyware, so have a hard
time trying to delete spyware when you have the installer posing as a
legitimate antispyware program. The legitimate antispyware programs that are
most recommended are; Adaware SE, Spybot Search & Destroy, SpywareBlaster,
CWShredder and as last resort HijackThis. You need to update them before
scanning for better results.
