Question on Printer setup in XP Home

I am running Windows XP Home. I have an HP DeskJet 895Cse printer that used
the windows built in drivers. This printer runs on Parallel or USB. I
originally installed the printer using Parallel.

Is it better to run the printer using USB since the printer supports this?
If so, can I just remove the printer drivers from the printer screen, shut
down the PC, unplug, reboot and then plug in the USB cable to a USB port?

USB is a better interface for the printer. To switch over
you need to remove the printer and drivers currently
installed using device manager.

Then, suggest you check www.hp.com for updated software and
FAQs on your printer. Follow the install instructions,
install the software before connecting the USB cable.

Thank you for info!

I already did check the HP site for drivers. It says that the most current
driver is the one that comes with XP. I will double check the install
instructions for USB and get rid of the Parallel connection.
