Question about Vista System Restore

Last night I used a Registry Cleaner program (CleanMyPC x64 version) to
restore a backup of my registry but instead I picked the wrong one to
restore. Therefore, I immediately used the Vista System Restore (I have
Vista 64 Ultimate) on a scheduled restore point made a day before. After
rebooting, I got a message Vista has performed the restore successfully and
my documents not affected. So my quesiton is do I need to do anything like
reinstalling drivers etc. or check registry? FYI, I've never used System
Restore in my whole life and I was wondering if there's any side-effects or
bugs when using it?

Any input is much appreciated. Thanks.

If you did not install any drivers/programs after then time the restore
point was made then there should me no effect. Drivers and other system
files installed after the restore point was made will be gone.

A problem that can come up is a restore point is made, an program
installation is performed, a restore is made.

Under these conditions the 'installed' program will no longer show as
installed HOWEVER some files and will probably be left around even though
they are not in use as far as the registry and system is concerned. Sometime
this causes problems when trying to reinstall the program.

Thanks for the info.
I picked a restore point that I did not install any programs/drivers after,
so I guess it should be fine.
When I was using XP I used to reinstall everything when something is wrong,
maybe with system restore I have an alternative.
