Question about VB software

Tracey

I use VBA to create applications in excel and I just purchased
training package that teaches VB 6. As you know there are som
differences in VBA and VB. I asked for a quote to purchase Visua
Basic and this is the reply I got back from our purchasing dept.
Studio.net PRO (part #1836942 ), .net ENTERPRISE DEVELOPER (par
#1836941 ), and .net ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT (part #1836943 ).

Is this true? I can't purchase VB software, and is Visual Studio th
same but just upgraded

Tracey,

It is true the VB6 and the other Visual Studio version 6
languages have been replaced by Visual Studio NET. The entire
NET framework is quite different than previous versions. Many
claim, with merit, that VB.NET is an entirely different language
from VB6. While syntactically similar, there are major
differences between the two.

You might be able to find VB6 on a site like eBay.
