I am thinking about buying a DVD burner and was wondering how much video
I can put on a DVD. I have numerous VCDs and I would love to put the
stuff on DVDs to decrease the space they take up. My first question is,
can I burn in VCD or SVCD format on a DVD or does it have to be DVD
format?

If I can burn in VCD format on a DVD, how many hours can I fit on a
DVD? As I see it, a half hour TV show without commercials takes up
about 220MB in VCD quality. A DVD holds about 4.7 GB. The way I figure
it, this means that I can fit about 20 half-hour episodes in VCD format
on one DVD disk. Is that correct or is there something about DVD
burning that I am missing?

Also, how much more complicated is burning DVDs as opposed to burning
VCDs with Nero?
