Ques. for John or Yves

You both sent me some advice (thank you). I think I may have a problem.
When I go to my computer, under Devices w/removable storage I have A drive, C
drive, E drive and F drive. I know the F drive is where my hp dvd writer is
but what is the E drive? Should I try removing it or just leave it alone?
I'm reading the articles John sent to see what action I should take. The re
registry one makes me nervous. Thanks again for any help you can provide.
I'd love to get this fixed.

I wouldn't remove E unless I knew what was.
It may be a factory formatted partition that
contains restore files. Also may be a card
reader if you have one. I wonder where D
drive is? And if your computer has a built in
CD reader or writer that could be it.

Right click on the E drive (in My Computer), and examine the drive
properties. The return from the properties tab will tell you what kind of
drive it is. I certainly would not classify this as any kind of urgent
problem.

I updated by answer below about not having a Recording tab.
I would do as Jim recommended to find out what your E drive is. You can also
double click on it to open it and see what is there.
