querying on linked teradata tables

I'm receiving a "ODBC-call failed" error when trying to
execute a select query to a linked table on a teradata
server. The error message geoes on to say "Query timeout
expired (#-1)". I've changed my MS Access settings to the
following hoping to stretch out the timeout: Enable DDE
refresh; OLE/DDE timeout=120; refresh interval=120; # of
update retries=4; ODBC refresh interval=1500; update retry
interval=250.

Other select queries to other linked tables in the same
teradata w/h pull down data fine. Any ideas?

Thanks.

If other queries work but this particular query times out, perhaps the query
is trying to return too much data? A test might be to try narrowing the
query down to the point where it returns only a single row, to see if there
might be a volume-related issue.

Good luck
