Qualifying Media for Upgrade

I want to go with the Retail Vista Home Basic Edition...Upgrade Version if
possible

For qualifying Media I have these CDs:
OEM XPSP2 Home Edition
Retail XPSP2 Home Edition Upgrade Version and supporting 98SE

Will one or both of these satisfy the Qualifying Media requirement?

Also I'd like to thank all yall for guiding me through the CPP and the
successful installation of Beta 2, RC1, and RC2.
No way could I (we) have done it without your help!

Thanks! Art

I'd think that either media would work.

But I'd really suggest that you use Home Premium instead of Basic.
Basic is so totally stripped down, it doesn't even have Aero (glass).

Yup. I agree, I suspect the cut off point for qualifying media could Windows
2000 and XP Home.

For versions of Windows earlier than Windows 2000, upgrade copies are not
available. These earlier versions of Windows require you to install a full
copy of Windows Vista.

Since upgrade versions include full clean install versions, seems pretty
clear that if you have to buy a full version they are not eligible for
upgrade pricing.
