Quadtone inks for Epson 880

A

Aaron J. Ginn

I recently purchased a Canon i470D to replace an older Epson 880. Now
I'm interested in converting that printer to a printer for black and
white photos. I looked at the MIS website, but they don't have the
880 listed as one of the printers that they make quadtone inks for.
Does anyone know if anyone makes them for the Epson 880? Can I use
one of the other inks on their website for the 880?

Thanks,
Aaron Ginn

First, what is an 880? 4-color? 4pl? Dye-based?

3rd party ink will work just about anywhere, assuming you have a wy of
getting it in the cartridge, settin gup SW etc. MIS, for one, gives a
pretty good account of what inks work in what printers.

But--as the man said, ask them

For quad-tone, also check mediastreet and Lyson
