Is is better to have bound or unbound controls when Access is the front end
and the backend is an outside database (in this case Oracle).
I've just migrated my native access tables to an Oracle database (still
bound) and after setting up sequences and triggers to get the autonumbering
to work I'm running into a weird problem where the record I've just created
returns a "record is deleted" error, although the record is in the table and
when I close and re-open the form, I can see the record just fine. It also
seems to run slower.
Now I'm wondering if I should take the time to re-work the form so the
controls are unbound, hoping it'll fix these errors and maybe speed up the
database.
Thanks,
