pvmjpg21.dll crashes the shell

Hello. Not sure if this is the right group for this or not - hopefully
someone has seen this already.

When i hover over an *.avi file in explorer, explorer simply crashes.
I know this is related to pvmjpg21.dll, but not sure exactly what is
going on. Maybe its the tooltip triggering this?

Yes, it says Vista and this is an XP newsgroup but you might want to look
there regardless.

The advice and steps are still sound troubleshooting.
