Punctuation Character Sort Order in Windows XP Filenames?

S

spinjector

Can someone link me to a list that shows the sort order of all
displayable characters in a Windows XP filename?

It's not ASCII order, nor ANSI order. If it were, then curly brackets
{} and tilde ~ would sort out to the bottom, but they go to the top.

The reason I ask is because I need a character that will sort out to
the bottom. As far as I can tell, ANY character that is NOT a LETTER
sorts out to the top. But even then - in what order..???

Thanks.

To save others time:
Explains a registry tweak that changes the way _numerical parts_ of
filenames are sorted in XP. Not what spinjector was asking for.
Repeats the registry info. as if his own.
A well-written rant about the sorting of numeric filenames, concluding
with the registry hack again.

Only the annoyances one gave an answer to what was being asked for: it
requires a numeric pad to be available (which it isn't, without much
fiddling, on many laptops and all netbooks), but is the only answer to
the question so far (personally, I just use "z" for this purpose).
