Publishing Word documents to SharePoint

I would like to be able to publish a Word document (more of a template) to a
SharePoint site. This document would reside on a shared drive on my server
and I would actually update the document from there and the changes would
automatically be updated in the document on the SharePoint site. I would
like the user to automatically see this document when they open the
SharePoint site instead of having to click on the document to open it. Can
anyone help me out here?

I would try posting your question in a SharePoint group. They are more like
to have done what you want to do.
