Publishing Website

I have a new client that I suggested get his domain and hosting through
GoDaddy.com, which he did. I enabled the Frontpage extensions for him via
the GoDaddy website but when I go to publish in Frontpage, I get the
following error:

Unable to open "http://malachi-multimedia.com'. Server error: The Web
Server at "http://malachi-multimedia.com" does not appear to have Windows
Sharepoint Services installed. Possible Causes: 1. The web server may not
have the FP extensions installed. 2. The web server may be temporarily out
of service. 3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy
settings may be incorrect. 4. An error may have occured in the web server.

I have gone back and forth with Godaddy telling them that something must be
wrong on their end but they insist it is a Frontpage issue. To start ruling
out problems, the only page in the website is completely blank - just trying
to upload a test page. GD told me that there must be something in my site
that required SharePoint Services but that can't be b/c there's nothing there
yet.

Another point - I have 2 other accounts that I host through Godaddy that I
use this same version of FP 2003 to publish and never have any problems. So
what in the world could be causing this one site to be having problems?

Thanks,
Beverly

Try opening the site via http://www.malachi-multimedia.com

The FP permissions are not set correctly on the account because from within IE, File Menu | Edit
with FP should bring up the login prompt.

Your web host must install/configure the extensions and permissions.

Just FYI, I've heard nothing but bad reports about GoDaddy's hosting, from
numerous people. They're great at domains, but their hosting seems to be a
pretty bad deal. :\

I had the same experiences with Go Daddy and I changed to Fat Cow. They
have never failed to be extremly helpful and great to work with. They have
been hosting my website now for several years. And I am not affiliated with
Fat Cow! Just a Grandma who loves computing. Front Page and Fat Cow are
fantastic.
