Publishing Problem

I have published our website fine using FP2000. Then I couldn't
publish any longer. Someone suggested going into TOOLS and
RECALCULATE HYPERLINKS which I did and then the message popped up
SERVER ERROR: The server extensions were unable to access the file
C:\dir\dir\_vti_pvt\service.lck. Please check the file permissions.
I can't find anything that relates to file permissions. Anyone have
any ideas? thanks

Find the service.lck file, right click on it and uncheck "Read only."

Thanks Steve--that took care of that problem--and everything looks
good on mycomputer---but when I go to publish I am getting the SERVER
ERROR message--FP server extensions may not be installed-server may be
out of service an error may have occurred on the server---

Sounds like the server has a problem--unless you know of anything else
that may be helpful on my side
