publishing error

I receive the following error when I try to publish my web to the webserver.
Server error: Page default.htm is checked out by IUSR_MAIL. How can I get
this file checked back in? Right clicking on the file does not give me the
option to check in or out.
If anyone has any ideas for me, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Christi H.

If IUSR_MAIL is a real person, that person will need to
clear the checkout.

Otherwise:

1. Open the copy of your site on the Web server.
2. Choose Web Settings (or, in FP2003, Site Settings)
from the Tools menu.
3. Make sure the General tab is selected.
4. Clear the checkbox titled Use Document Check-In And
Check Out.
5. Click OK.

This remove all checkout capability (and all checkouts)
from the site.

Jim,

Thanks so much for the response. I got rid of that error. Do you also happen
to know why I get the following error on a different web that I publish? It
is: Server error: Cannot open file "Thumbs.db.tmp" for writing. I can't find
a file with this name anywhere to change the attributes.

thanks so much for your help,

Christi H.

The file is hidden, and is only created on Windows XP machine when you open
a folder with your images via My Computer or Windows Explorer. This file
should never be published, and to avoid have the issue, you really should
avoid open the folder holding your web content, outside of FP.
