Publishing Changes to a Web Site

I've been using FrontPage 2002 for a couple of years and have had no problems
until recently. I've made modifications to a couple of pages, saved the
changes, and then attempted to publish the changes to the web site. I get the
"Publish Web" screen, put in the website address (www.xxx.com), type in the
password and the screen looks like it is searching for the modified files,
i.e., the hourglass comes up. And nothing happens for two or three minutes
and then it kicks me out of FrontPage entirely. A couple of time I got the
following messages:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program: C:\Program Files\Office 10\Frontpage:exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

A have two web sites -- I have no problem publishing modifications to this
second web site (different address). Any suggestions?

open your live site with FrontPage (file/ open web/ type in the http://
address)
once open click tools/ web settings/ advanced tab (clear temp. files box).
then tools/ recalculate hyperlinks.
close the live web and open your local web, do the same process and re-try
the publish.

Thanks for the tip there Chris.

If nothing appears to happen when I click on the "Clear Temp files" does
that mean that my host disallows this or that it's all happening behind the
scenes or sumptin'?

The recalculate hyperlinks works just fine tho'....

Thanks.

yah, there's really no feedback on this. you just check the box and OK out
the dialog.
did it solve the problem?
