Public Calendar for Scheduling

Hi all

I want to use our public folders on the exhange server for scheduling classes and such. I want to schedule instructors and also rooms. I'd like to make a meeting everytime there is a class and put the room as the resource and the instructor as in the meeting attendant. I want to use the scheduling feature in Outlook 2002 to see if the instructors are already busy during the time as well

This is what happens.. I schedule the meeting from within the public folder calendar, add the instructor, and for now just put in a room number (I haven't set up the accounts for the resources yet but don't worry about that). The instructor gets an email to accept or decline and when it comes back to me I get the email and it says "This meeting is not in the calendar; it may have been moved or deleted"...and so it doesn't put it in the public calendar since it thinks that it should be in mine (which I don't want)

Can somebody tell me what's going on and how I can get what I want from within Outlook?

That sort of thing can only be done in your default calendar, not in a
public folder calendar unless you use code or special methods. See
http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/scheduleall.htm for more
information.
