What is a good power supply for the A8N32 motherboard?

Have always had 100% good results with PC Power & Cooling power supplies.

Recently tried a Seasonic that got good reviews, going for perhaps a bit
quieter system, it could not run a relatively lightly loaded P5WD2 with
a single core 3.0ghx and a single 6600Gt video card.

I wound up getting the 510 SLI, runs it rock solid, and, noise not
really a factor, since with the lightly loaded system it never works
very hard anyway, so fan does not have to spool up.

Here is specific unit they recommend for your motherboard:

$219.00

Depending on whether or not there are enough connectors, you could
probably get away with the Silencer 470:

$99.00

Tom's Hardware did ran some harsh tests on power supplies, which showed
what most of us know, that their "power ratings" are often pretty bogus.
Some of them fried.

The Seasonic 600W did well in this test; I was trying to get by with
the S12-430W model, and it just was not enough.

PCPC unit does come with a 5 year warranty. I have three of them in my
PCs, no failures or issues, ever. (Oldest from 2001 now....)

Take a look at the Antec Phantom (500 watts and over are available) series
if you want quiet as well. The Phantoms are very efficient resulting in less
heat, use a quiet throttled fan with a temparature control on the fan. If
the are cool enough, the fan does not run.

I got one the otherday and Yes, they are very quiet.

Ideally, you should have a well ventilated case if you get one.
