.pst exceeds 2GB

My outlook.pst exceeds 2GB. I repaired it and assigned to a new personal folder. I archived most items. From File-folder-properties I found that the size of my personal folder has reduced to about 1GB. However, the .pst file is still touching 2GB. How to rectify this from reaching 2GB? Thank you.

you will have to compact that .pst file. If you do a search on google about
2gb personal folder it should come up with something that you can download
and compact your .pst file.
