PS3 - how to preserve sort order of input files?

Hi,

just found this newsgroup and could not walk through all the threads to
check whether my question has already been answered:

I'm new to PhotoStory3 (never knew about PS1/2, anyway) and think this
tool is incredible. Now I tried to put a lengthy series of shots (48
photos) into a story and experienced, that PS3 does not keep the sort
order of the input directory (e.g. by file name) but rather puts pics at
the end, which have younger file save dates. Why is it and what can I do
to force PS3 to use my order by name? It is really annoying to fumble
through the timeline and put items form the very end to the very beginning.

Any hint is greatly appreciated,
Ludwig

The newly added pix will always go at the end... so doing them one at a time
in the sequence you want works.

If you want to do a batch, sort them in the sequence you want them in you
file browser and drag/drop them into PS3... they should string together in
the same order.

If you forget one, then it's doing what you say.... from the end to where
you want it.

Thanks for the answer - I haven't thought about drag'n drop, I'll give
it a try.

So I have to know the order BEFORE I gonna load the stuff into PS3 -
this really doesn't support my productivity needs ;^) - I hope a future
version lets me insert pictures before or after any selected picture in
the timeline.

If you use drop and drag and use the "Shift Click" method to select the
files, remember to select the LAST picture first, hold down the Shift key and
the select the FIRST picture. If you don'y do this the picture will be in
reverse order.
