Protecting a cell in Access form

I would like to keep someone from entering data into a
cell. the cell has data that automatically pops into it
when an ID is entered, but they could over-write it ...
any suggestions?

You have to give them access to the data ONLY via a data entry form. On the
form you can lock the field.
