programming for report wizard

I don't know anything about programming, but I would like to be able to
automate the creation of a report to add the appropriate number of controls
to the report based on the (variable) number of columns in the record source.
Is there a way to find and look at the programming that the report wizard
uses as a sample?

Hi Chet,

If you are new to programming, then I'd say that you may be getting a bit
ambitious for your current skill level. It's kind of like asking how to
perform cliff dives, before you've learned to swim. With that said, have a
