Program run expectedly

While going onto the internet via AOL, I find that another program will run
in the background, without me ever starting it. This has the effect of
slowing down my internet connection. The program that automatically starts
is a Sony Picture Package software. It only starts when I go onto the
internet. What's causing this annoying problem; how can I fix it.

If you go through the program's menus, you'll probably find an option where you can prevent the program from starting.
