Program listings

Morning.
With WinXP Home, when I go to Start>Programs, the program listing are in
side-by-side columns. How can I fix that to read in one verticle column? I
can't access the programs in the right column (too far over) and I still
have about 150 programs to add.
Thanx

Hi D.H. Cesare,

Assuming that you're using the Classic Start Menu (as you state
Start>Programs not Start>All Programs), go to Start>Settings>Taskbar and
Start Menu>Start Menu tab. Click on the Customize button and in the lower
field (Advanced Start menu options) locate and click to place a checkmark in
the checkbox beside Scroll Programs. Click on OK then OK again.

It's better to sub-divide the folders under Programs so you don't have that
kind of problem.

For instance, under Programs I have Accessories, Administrative Tools,
Applications, Diagnostics, Internet Explorer, Multimedia, Office, Startup,
and Utilities. There are further folders undere these. Keeps thinsg in
order.

Thanks, but I'm using the other view. I switched to the classic view,
followed your directions and made the change, but when I switched back to
the XP view the change didn't work. Is there some way to make the "Scroll"
deal work in the XP view?
Thanx
