program freezes when trying to insert a hyperlink

this is a new one for me...but it is very annoying...when ever I try to
insert a hyperlink in FrontPage 2003 freezes up and I have to close the
program in the task mgr and restart...have only been able to add the
hyperlinks directly tot he code...

I am running XP sp2

seem to be having a similar problem with a couple of other apps...

How long since you've cleared the Temporary Internet and History files??

Also:

Expression Web Designer and SharePoint Designer support )

Run the functions that clear:
The Hidden Temporary files.
The Hidden Cache (*.web) files.

See if it helps.

Wish I could say it worked...cleaned out a bunch of stuff I am sure will help
with other things...but not this problem...

Okay...now it seems I have opened a new can of worms...when I went to open my
temp folder via explore...it hung up there as well when I tried to open a
folder...hmmm...now I think the problem is with my os...

any thoughts?

You don't need to open the temp folder.
Clear it from the IE toolbar > Tools > Internet Options.
