program doesn't remove

got the hotbar for outlook for its emoticons and its associated but
unannounced 'shopper reports by hotbar'
had enough and want out
can't remove them using 'add remove programs', it invokes something, the
hourglass comes on, but hourglass goes
away and programs still there?? when something like this happens any way to
remove 'manually' by editing registry, etc.
anyway to tell if all references to something like this are gone?

Yes, you can go into the registry and remove the
appropriate keys. I just did that a few days ago on a
users machine.

First, look on your hard drive for the Hotbar folder and
try to delete it.

Next, go into your registry and do a search for 'hotbar'
(no quotes). When it stops on a key look at the entry
carefully and be sure it has 'Hotbar' or something similar
to that in its reference. Delete that key. Hit F3 to continue.

Repeat until you get the message that you are at the end of
the registry. Reboot your machine. When it comes back up
the toolbar should be gone.

You might want to check to see if the Hotbar folder is
still on your system. If so, delete it and reboot one more
time to be sure everything is well.
