Program Control of Printers

I have researched the control of printers using prtDevmode and prtDevnames
properties and I would find this capability useful in solving a problem I
have with a project using Access 2003. However, updating the properties is
only possible in Design View and this is not available in the 'mde' files
that I use for security purposes. Does anyone know of a way round this
impasse? If so, I would be grateful to hear of it.

There is no way around these two issues. The only possible work around is
to put your reports and their queries in an mdb file that the mde references
and then create functions in the mdb file that run the reports. The mde
file will see the functions and can call them if it references the mdb.
