Product Key Change In WXP Pro

I allowed an idiot to update my computer with an illegal "Corporate" XP Pro
and I find it will not validate. I wonder why!

Is it possible to do a repair and change the product key with my own copy of
XP Pro and not lose all programs?

I would not like to loose all information by doing a clean install.

Any help would be appreciated.

1) Make an additional backup along with your periodic backups. Extra

2) Choose one:

Thank You Shenan Stanley.

The product key tool worked and my XP Pro copy validated.

If you are trying to install a WinXP Service Pack and getting the
following:

The Product Key Used to Install Windows Is Invalid

You need to purchase and a _legitimate_ retail or OEM full license
of WinXP Pro to perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place upgrade) installation,
using the new CDs and Product Keys.
