First of all, what anti virus are you running?

You might try to install and run these programs
first of all is Ad-Aware from Lavasoft
This program scans for adware and allows you to delete them.

Also Spybot - Search & Destroy
This program searches for spyware and allows you to delete them

If you are not currently running AVG you may want to consider switching to
it for anti virus.

After running these several times see if that helps your system.
