problems with windows media player 9

Windows Media Player 9 Series has stopped working
properly on my computer when CDs are played. The computer
plays the CD but the track length and title information
are not being read properly. Media Player is reading 4 to
5 minute tracks as being 50 or more hours long, and as a
result I am unable to search through songs as they are
being played. It also is not recognizing the track title
or other CD title information on CDs that I have
previously entered information about and that it used to
recognize. The probelm ocurs with all CDs in both the DVD
and CD-RW drives. In addition, I cannot access my Media
Library. Other media files played from the computer or
interenet (not from a CD) play properly. The DVD player
and CD burner are both working properly, so I don't think
the problem is with my drives. Prior to about two months
ago the program worked fine. I have all of the most
recent Windows Media Player updates and have found no
viruses or spy programs on my system. Can anyone give me
any advice on what might be causing this problem and how
to fix it?

If you think its corrupt,go to windows media home page, download
an reinstall WMP9 series,it'll extract the current copy before setting
up a new one.
