problems with TOC

Hi

i've generated a TOC using styles and modified the style under insert /
references / index & tables / modify ... but for some unknown reason it
seems that there's now an extra tab stop for TOC1 & TOC2 at 7cm. This isn't
in the underlying style definiton, it isn't the default tab setting & it
won't go away ... if i delete it manually when i rebuild the toc it comes
back again ... how can i get rid of it permenantly.

Cheers

Oh no! It's the infamous 'Jason tab' again! See

Hi Jay

thanks .. the macro fixed it but i need to send this document on to someone
else to print out .. it says in the article about intercepting word
commands -and i read the link too and intercepted the update fields command
and put the macro code in there - when i press F9 it returns an error
message on the .Update line (1st one) but when i now comment out the macro
code and update the toc it works fine - no more stray tabs - so i'm going to
forget it ever happened!

Thanks again
JulieD
