Windows XP Problems with .net framework

Hi all,

I am having a problem when trying to install .net framework updates from Microsoft Update. There are 3 available, "Security update for Microsoft .NET framework, version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB928366)", "Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 service pack 1 (KB110806)", "Microsoft. NET framework 3.0 x86 (KB928416)"

I also have a problem in that i can't uninstall .NET framework 1.1 or Microsoft .NET framework 2.0?

Any ideas anyone?

I had lots of problems with .NET updates in XP when I used it. It might be worth following these instructions to see if they help (I tried this and it worked for me at the time):

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908077 (almost the same, but has manual 2.0 removal instructions).

The full manual removal is a last resort, but should let you reinstall it all properly.
