Problems with ipconfig

Can someone help me to find the ip address for my pc as when type in
ipconfig it does not bring it up.

I have just gone on to Blueyonder broadband and have the main pc connected
via a Belkin 4 way Router which is working fine on the main pc.

When I came to add on the 2nd pc the connection would not work. The support
at Belking say the probem is with XP. The hardware installer says my pci
card is ok and working. But no address can be found so no connection for the
router to make etc etc.

Any ideas?

First you have to establish the connection before getting a IP address from your router

Check the NIC light is it solid
If not replace the ethernet cable
If replacing the ethernet cable does not work reinstall the Network Card drivers

Does your router require bridging
Disable the Local Area Connection bridge if it does not, this can cause issues renewing your IP.
