Hi there,

We have Exchange 2003, and all my clients are Windows XP SP2, with Office
2003 Professional -- which means Outlook 2003. The problem is that I am not
getting a consistant result creating a signature that includes a graphic.
Sometimes the graphic displays no problem, sometimes it omes up with the red
'x' in the top left corner, sometimes it shows as a hyper link to the file
on the network share, and sometimes nothing is there.

I have instructed my users to set the follow options in their outlook (
would also like to be able to control this via GPO )

- Compose on this message format : HTML
Yes - Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit email messages
Yes - Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to to read Rich Text email messages

To insert the graphic into the signaure, I have instructed users to 'right
mouse' click the spot where they want to the graphic to appear and use the
"Insert Image" option. The graphic is contained on a share network drive
and everyone has read\write access granted.

What else can I check\look for to resolve this issue?

The only sure fire way to get it right is to make the sigs in a REAL html
editor and just use Outlook to pick them.

Okay, tried that, but had the same results. I created a simple HTML page
using notepad and then started a new signuature and selected this HTML page
as the template. The graphic does not show up -- just get the red 'x' in
the top corner.

Actually, I think I have found the problem ... some users where use the
driver letter to insert the graphic, where-as some where using the UNC.
Using the mapper driver letter caused all the problems.

Signatures containing graphics usally work best if the graphic is in the
Signatures folder.
