problems with domain user in local admin group

I dont know if anyone has seen this before, but it is new to me. Due to
certain applications needing to run correctly, users need to be local admins,
but when I put their domain accounts into the local admin group, it takes
away some functionalities. One thing they cant do is attach a file to email.
There are other little things that dont work also, but as soon as I take
their domain account out of the local admin group, all is well again. Any
ideas?

Thanks in advance!

This isn't the direct result of adding domain accounts to the local
administrator's group. Look for other possibilities such as domain policy
and or some setting in your mail client.
