Problems with ATI Radeon 9700

Hi. When I install the latest driver for the ATI Radeon 9700 everything works fine. After reboot of machine problems with 3D Animations exist (flickering triangles). When I update the driver again and boot the pc everything works fine - until the next boot -> Never ending story :-( . It seems that Windows XP rewrites something witch causes the problem. Has anybody an idea what the reason is? Thank you for help.

Are you or have you installed the catalyst for xp,there's 4 component
that make it up and not all are always included.The most stable driver fo
ati is 3.7 you might try that if all components are installed.

thank you for your reply. I've tried several driver - also included 3.7 - all time the same bad result. What 4 components do you meen? What does WinXp do with the when it reboots?? Does it rewrite any files? Can I disable something that this doesn't happen in future
