Problems using tab to navigate

When I hit tab in excel it jumps over several columns instead of just going
to the next column. The problem seems to be isolated to one computer because
the tab button works normally when I open the document elsewhere on the
network. What's wrong?

try 'Tools - Options - Upgrade' and uncheck 'alternative navigation
keys' (not sure about the translation here though...)

In English that would be

Tools>Options>Transition

Uncheck the "Transition Navigation Keys".
