Problems sending e-mails

When using send object to send e-mail from access 2003 I get the warning "A
program is automatically trying to send e-mail on your behalf" etc. All the
microsoft "Help" seems to refer to using microsoft exchange. I need to
suppress this message to make the function useful? Can anybody help? Please?
