problems publishing to FTP server!!! UGH!

i use front page and we just switched to a non-microsoft server and i can't
seem to publish. i keep getting a "553 can not create file" error. Please
help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 553 error can indicate a file name that is invalid on the server,
such as a name with spaces. Make sure that none of your folders and
files are named with invalid characters:
Valid characters are alphanumeric, underline, hyphen, and full-stop
(the number of full-stops should normally be limited to one).
Also check with the host if there is a limit to filename length - some
filenames generated by FP are long.
